Vodafone gives NHS and ambulance service employees 25% off selected pay monthly airtime plans with a phone and 20% off SIM only and tablet plans through its Vodafone Advantage scheme. Unlike O2’s offer, the SIM only discount means staff keeping their current phone can still save.
Claiming It
Staff apply on Vodafone’s Advantage page with an NHS email address, ID card or a letter from their employer, then receive codes to enter at the online checkout. The discount covers 12- and 24-month SIM only plans and does not apply to plans already on promotion or discount, while refurbished phones are eligible. Codes can be shared with friends and family.
When It Ends
The discount stays in place until the account is upgraded, the minimum term expires, the agreement changes or the number changes, after which it has to be applied for again. Vodafone Advantage terms have also included gift cards of £80 or £130 with 24-month home broadband plans.
On a £20 SIM only plan, 20% off saves £4 a month, or £96 over two years.
EE takes 20% off SIM only plans too, and O2 goes up to 25% but only on Refresh plans with a phone.
