EE gives NHS staff 20% off the monthly price plan through its EE Perk scheme, applied to SIM Only plans or the airtime part of a Flex Pay agreement rather than to the cost of a handset. The codes come from EE’s own Perk portal after registering, and EE’s community team has warned that codes picked up from third-party sites will not work.
How Long the Discount Lasts
The 20% applies to the plan’s monthly recurring charge for the length of the minimum term. When the term ends, the price returns to the usual rate unless a new Perk code is used on an upgrade, so the end date is the moment to act. The discount cannot be used on plans that include an annual upgrade benefit or alongside other offers, and EE support has said it does not apply to plans that are already special offers.
On a £30 a month SIM Only plan the code saves £6 a month, or £144 across a 24-month term.
Sharing Codes
EE’s support team has told emergency service workers that the Perk portal gives them five 20% codes, which can cover other lines in the household. The number shown in each Perk account is the one that applies.
Vodafone also discounts SIM only plans for NHS staff, while O2 limits its offer to plans with a new phone, and all three are compared under mobile and broadband.
