Cineworld does not take a percentage off at the box office for NHS staff. Instead, cardholders can buy reduced-price Cineworld vouchers through Service Seats, Blue Light Card’s own platform for cinema offers. Members buy the vouchers from Blue Light Card and redeem them with Cineworld, and the Blue Light Card itself has to be shown on arrival at the cinema.
What Service Seats Covers
The offers have included discounted ticket vouchers for 2D screenings, vouchers for snacks and drinks including Munchboxes, and reduced prices on Cineworld Unlimited memberships, with a three-month Unlimited option added in 2025. Blue Light Card has listed twelve-month cinema memberships at around a fifth below their usual price, and it advises checking the local cinema’s own price before buying a voucher, since some cinemas run short-term offers that work out cheaper.
Unlimited or Single Tickets
Ticket vouchers suit occasional visits, while Unlimited suits anyone going more than once or twice a month, since it covers standard entry to 2D screenings and adds money off snacks and drinks. For someone going every week, a discounted annual membership is likely to cost less than buying a voucher each time, so how often the cinema gets used is the deciding factor.
