Subway has no national Blue Light Card partnership. Its UK restaurants are run by franchisees, and the key worker discounts that do exist come from individual operators rather than from Subway itself, which is why one branch may take money off and the next one will not.
Where Blue Light Card Holders Have Saved
Recent listings describe a 20% reduction for cardholders at selected branches run by an operator covering Hampshire, Sussex, Kent and Surrey, and at Subway outlets inside Welcome Break motorway service stations, where the offer has applied Monday to Friday on showing a physical or digital card. Elsewhere a franchisee may accept the card at its own discretion, and asking before ordering is the only reliable way to find out.
Student Pricing and Subway Rewards
Students get 10% off at participating stores on showing valid student ID. The Subway app runs Subway Rewards, which earns points on orders and carries app-only offers, some of them limited to particular towns or regions, such as free six-inch sub vouchers or money off at selected stores.
For a saving that applies in every branch regardless of ownership, Nando’s takes 20% off NHS staff orders up to £20, capped at £4 a day.
