Wetherspoons Has No NHS Discount, but Club Meal Deals Include a Drink

Wetherspoon gives NHS staff no discount and has no points-based loyalty scheme. Its prices are the same for every customer and already low by pub standards, so the savings come from how a meal is ordered rather than who is ordering it.

Club Meals and Tax Equality Day

Curry Club, Steak Club and the other club meals bundle a main course with a drink at a set price. Since June 2021 they have been available every day rather than only on their traditional nights, with Curry Club still promoted on Thursdays. Once a year, on what Wetherspoon calls Tax Equality Day, the chain also takes 7.5% off food and drink in most of its pubs, with alcohol excluded from the reduction in Scotland.

The Wetherspoon app handles ordering and payment from the table, which suits a short meal break, and shows each pub’s own menu and prices, since these vary from venue to venue.

Restaurant and pub brands that do carry NHS or Blue Light Card offers are gathered in the food and drink section.
