Uber Eats runs nothing permanent for NHS staff. The route to a lower bill is a discounted Uber Eats Shopping Card from Blue Light Card, redeemed in the Uber Eats account and spent on eligible restaurant and grocery orders, with the current rate visible after logging in.
The Christmas Offer for NHS Staff
Uber has run a Christmas campaign for NHS and Health and Social Care staff, most recently giving two rides worth up to £10 each and £10 off an Uber Eats order on Christmas Day 2025. Claiming it required both the Uber and Uber Eats accounts to be linked to an NHS or HSC email address before a cut-off a few days earlier, with promo codes emailed shortly before Christmas. Whether it returns is decided year by year.
Rides and Uber One
Blue Light Card also carries discount codes for Uber rides, separate from the food delivery Shopping Card. Uber One, the company’s paid membership, spans both services and removes delivery fees on eligible Uber Eats orders above a minimum spend.
Deliveroo handles it differently, giving its Plus Silver membership away free through Amazon Prime and Blue Light Card.
