Mint Velvet takes 10% off full-price items for Blue Light Card members, using a unique code generated through the Blue Light Card site. The code has been reported as usable up to three times a month, and sale stock is excluded, so it earns most on new-season pieces rather than end-of-season reductions.
Codes Open to Every Shopper
A newsletter sign-up brings a 15% code for a first full-price order, a deeper cut than the Blue Light Card rate on that single purchase. The refer-a-friend scheme gives a friend 15% off a first order and sends the referrer a 15% code for orders over £150, and account holders who save a date of birth receive a birthday voucher around a week beforehand.
Student Pricing in Boutiques
A 10% student discount applies in standalone Mint Velvet boutiques on production of an NUS card. It is not available online, so a student who is also eligible for Blue Light Card is better off using the key worker code for web orders.
Trying Pieces at Home
Mint Velvet also offers a try-at-home option in which the card is only charged, after five days, for the items kept. For a brand where fit varies between collections, that removes much of the risk of ordering several sizes.
Fashion brands with Blue Light Card terms are grouped in the clothing and fashion section, which separates percentage codes from gift card offers.
